Community Safeguarding Policy

KDN is committed to safe, respectful and dignified engagement with refugees, host communities, children and vulnerable adults.

Principles: do no harm; respect dignity; obtain informed consent for photography and stories; protect personal data; prevent exploitation, abuse and harassment; listen to community feedback.

Photography and storytelling: we will not publish images or stories that imply endorsement without permission. We will avoid sharing sensitive location, protection or personal details.

Reporting concerns: [Insert approved safeguarding reporting channel after review]. Concerns will be handled confidentially and referred appropriately.

Volunteers and partners: anyone representing KDN must follow safeguarding expectations. Training and vetting requirements will be defined before community-facing activities begin.

This policy is a development-phase framework and must be reviewed and approved before implementation.
